Cable Structure
- Conductor material: Bare copper conductor according to IEC 60228, class 1 ( solid ), class 2 ( stranded ) or class 5 ( flexible )
- XLPE core insulation: Cross linked polyethylene compound
- Core insulation colors: As per customer request
- PVC inner covering.
- Armour: Galvanized steel wire or tape.
- PVC outer sheath: Compound type of PVC/ ST2.
- Sheath color is normally black.
- These Types of cables can also be manufactured with aluminium or aluminium alloy conductors, according to IEC 60228
Application
These types of cables are used for distribution of electrical energy supply and control applications for fixed installations in underground, cable ducts, indoors, in water and open air where more mechanical protection isrequired.
In addition, XLPE insulation material has better mechanical, electrical, chemical and durability characteristics than PVC
