Cable Structure

 

  • Conductor material: Annealed copper according to IEC 60228 (ISIRI 3084), class 1 (solid).
  • Insulation material: PVC compound.
  • Core Identification: One pair: Black-Red, Two pairs: Black-Red, White-Yellow.
  • Twisting: Two insulated conductors shall be twisted together to form a pair.
  • Individual shield: A layer of the polyester tape will be applied helically over the pairs, then a drain wire of tinned annealed copper, will be used alongside and they all will be wrapped helically by aluminum foil.
  • Overall Shield: A layer of aluminum foil will be wrapped helically over the polyester tape using a drain wire of tinned annealed copper under the foil.
  • Outer Sheath material: PVC compound.
  • Outer Sheath color: Green.

Application

The key to making a building “intelligent” is to equip it with networked sensors and actuators. The KNX system is a bus system for building control. This means that all devices in a KNX system use the same transmission method and are able to exchange data via a common bus network.

The KNX protocol is developed to use in electrical equipment to automate the operation of smart buildings and to connect sensors, controllers, terminals, and monitoring.
Among its advantages are support for a variety of control systems and the separation of power and control circuits in lighting, cooling and heating systems, and security, among others; high efficiency; the possibility of integrated system control; the ability to control remotely via telephone or the Internet; and increased safety and security.
