Cable Structure
- Conductor material: Plain or tinned annealed copper according to the IEC 60228 (ISIRI 3084), class 2 (stranded) or class 5 (flexible).
- Tape: Mica Tape. (if any)
- Insulation material: XLPE compound.
- Core Identification: colored with numbers
- Twisting: Cores twisted in the form of a pair, triple and quad.
- Individual Screen: If ordered, a layer of the polyester tape will be applied helically over the pairs, triple and quads, then a drain wire of tinned annealed copper (the same size as wire conductors), will be used alongside and they all will be wrapped helically by aluminum foil.
- Overall screen: A layer of aluminum foil will be wrapped helically over the polyester tape using a drain wire of tinned annealed copper (the same size as wire conductors), under the foil.
- Bedding Material: For armored cables, an extruded bedding compound, the same material as the outer sheathing is applied (if any)
- Wire Braided Screen: Plain or tinned annealed copper (if any)
- Braided Armor: Plain or tinned annealed copper or galvanized steel (if any)
- Outer Sheath Material: Low Smoke/Halogen Free (LSZH) compound
- Outer Sheath Color: according to the customer's request
Application
These types of cables are suitable for data transmission and can be used in ships/vessels and off-shore structures.
